Each year, the Southwest Ohio and Neighboring Libraries (SWON) hosts a Teen Reading Challenge. I participated last year with some coworkers, one of who had the second highest individual pages read with 29,741 pages. Personally, I read read 32 books for 6,387 pages. I considered participating this year individually, but decided not to. With the wedding coming up, my attention should not be overly concerned with books. I do plan to participate next year and will set my goal according to the last winners. Now that I know what is expected, I'll let myself get carried away. Anyone in the area that wants to try, definitely go for it!
Then, of course, there's the wedding in 100 days. For those of you who haven't heard, the church we booked is being sold. Long story short, we may be moving the ceremony. While the current reception location is not far, we may be looking at moving that as well. There are still a million and two things to do, from finding the maid of honor and flower girl dresses to booking the cake to doing flowers. Yes, much of this should have been done earlier but I was trying to have the church/reception finalized in case that affected anything. At this point, I'm ready to just get the pieces done! I'm super excited and super stressed. I have a fantastic support system in my family, who have mostly been warned about the upcoming insanity. I'm definitely ready for the honeymoon!
